Security:
Your property's security is enhanced by the self locking design of the TAU P290BENC Series Gate openers, minimising the possibility on an intruder opening your gates manually, even in the event of power failure. An additional locking device is recommended for gates leafs over 1.8 metres in length.
Protection:
The associated TAU Controller for the P290BENC has the ability to open one gate leaf for pedestrian access, in a two gate leaf system. This feature maximises the security of the premises by restricting full access.
Manual Operation:
There is a manual release feature, protected by a Personal Key, for opening the gates in the event of a power failure. The TAU P290BENC Motors' Controller has a built-in battery charger and provision for a back-up battery, for operation during a power failure.
Gatepost Mounting Considerations:
The maximum distance from the centre of the gate hinge gudgeon to the back of the Gatepost for a 90 degree opening is 290mm.
Aesthetic Appeal:
The compactness of the TAU P290BENC Series Motors means they can be positioned at almost any level on the gate itself, enabling the gate to be a feature without the operational parts being highly visible.
Gate Opening Angles:
The P290BENC 12V dc Linear Gate Drive is an extremely silent, versatile gate drive unit and can be used on most gatepost situations, and is suitable for gate opening angles of up to 125 degrees
Encoder Positioning:
The P290BENC series TAU Linear Gate Drive incorporate an Encoder, a special detection system, which when used with the TAU Encoder compatible Controller allows the motor to move the gate rapidly and then slow it down towards the end of its travel in order to prevent noisy impacts and rebounds.
