The weight of a gate leaf, relative to its length, is not an issue to the Swing Gate Automation Systems supplied by Pro Automation Ltd.
Of an issue, relative to length, is the amount of infill, as in a full-faced or near full-faced timber clad gate. In particular a single leaf for a residential driveway, usually approximately 3 to 3.5 metres in length, whereby there is a possibility of wind pressure issues on the gate.
In situations where the Gate is a long one with a lot of infill, the Gate Automation may fail to operate as expected under abnormal wind conditions.
